Agent Insights

Replay any agent session, step by step

Agent Insights now has a Session Explorer: pick a session and step through what the agent read, edited, spent and retried, in order. The map lights each branch as the agent reaches it, and the timeline lanes show errors, cost and context at every step.

A map of everything the agent touched#

The radial map draws the session as branches: repositories down to directories and files, MCP servers down to tools, skills, subagents, and error sources down to error classes. Files the agent has not reached yet stay hollow, a counter marks a file read more than once, and failed nodes get a ring.

A timeline you can play back#

Under the map, timeline lanes show context size with compaction drops, cost per request with a running total, tokens billed against cache reads, errors with their retries, delays, and a lane for the main agent and each subagent.

Play the session at 1x, 4x or 16x, or jump straight to the next edit, error, turn, subagent, delay, retry or compaction.

Tasks, models and outputs#

A session splits into tasks, each a window you can scope to. Every step is tied to the model that drove it, and outputs (commits, PRs, merges, comments, tickets, written skills) get their own branch on the map, so you can see what a session shipped as well as what it cost.

Review comments land on the edit#

When a review comment flags a line, the explorer rings the exact edit that touched that line, and the review panel says whether it found the exact edit or the last edit of the file. Each flag shows its verdict and rule, and links to the GitHub comment. From the PR side, an Open agent session link goes the other way.
