World Model

World Model nodes grow their connections in place

The World Model now opens on every category together, and clicking a node grows its connections on the same globe while the view zooms in on it. Anyone tracing a product area to the tasks and sessions behind it sees the whole neighbourhood without leaving the globe.

A clicked node grows on the same globe#

Clicking a node draws its neighbours onto the globe you are already looking at and zooms in on it: 150% at rest, 198% one hop in, 249% two hops in. The rest of the globe stays, dimmed, and the trail and back arrow step back one hop at a time. A focused node keeps its Globe and Map switch, and the Map now shows every neighbour that was fetched.

This builds on the globe that opened to every org in September.

Sessions link to their tasks, pull requests to their sessions and people to their areas, faint at rest and lit on hover. A node now shows up to 60 neighbours of each type, up from 8, so an ordinary node carries its whole neighbourhood, and its direct neighbours are labelled at any zoom.

Hovering or pressing a node fetches its neighbourhood ahead of the click, so the connections are there when you let go.

Ellie draws its answer as a map#

Ask Ellie a question and the answer map grows a branch for each search step, with every node it visits appearing as the answer streams. On the globe, the nodes Ellie opened and the links between them stand out. This extends Ask Ellie inside the World Model.

The globe starts at the top of the page#

The title bar is gone, which gives every view 48px more height. The time window, the sync badge and search float in the top-right corner of the globe. The sync badge appears only while sessions are still being analysed ("Syncing 51%") or have stalled.

What we removed#

  • The breadcrumb row. Going up a level is the back arrow or Esc, and jumps of two or more levels went with the breadcrumb.

Improvements#

  • World ModelYour time window and Every session choice are remembered in this browser.
  • World ModelShow everything is a labelled button on the canvas.
  • World ModelThe ranked list opens in an edge drawer that closes on Esc or an outside click.
  • World ModelLight mode draws outlined nodes and stronger links.
  • World ModelSearch moves into the header of the category rail.

Fixes#

  • World ModelThe ranked list drawer sits above the floating filters, so its title and close button show.
  • World ModelA focused view holds still while idle.
  • World ModelHover eases links in and out instead of snapping.

The memory starts the day you connect a repo.

From that day on, every session, review and incident lands in the same index.
